TRAVEL/ADVENTURE FILM:
CLIMBING ON DOVER ISLAND,
NOVA SCOTIA
- BEHIND THE SCENES -
This was a personal project. I wanted to document our weekend climbing trip, and I had recently upgraded cameras and was excited to put my new equipment through its paces - testing it in different lighting conditions and checking its footage stabilization and auto-focus for "run-and-gun" hand-held adventure filmmaking.
Between that camera and a GoPro, I came home with over 100GB of footage, including slow-motion clips, timelapse shots, gimbal and handheld footage and more.
Still full of excitement from the trip, and looking forward to testing all that footage, I got to work editing it together into this 6-minute short highlight film.
At the time I had no intentions for this video to be anything other than a fun memento, but when the Outdoor Outdoor Film Festival (OOFF) put out a call for local submissions, I decided to submit it to the event, where it received an "honourable mention" for it's visuals and excitement.
I hope you enjoy it as well.
