- BEHIND THE SCENES -​

We love supporting businesses that are doing good work in their communities, and Guelph Box definitely fits the bill! 

 

Genevieve and Josh started Guelph Box right at the beginning of the COVID-19 shutdown in order to help out Guelph’s small business community who were struggling with lost sales and closed doors because of the virus.

 

With their boxes, they were able to provide sales to local vendors and artists, provide amazing local goods to Guelph residents, and raise money for local charities by dedicating 5% of their sales to donations!

 

Gen and Josh launched their business so quickly, they said “It literally feels like we’re flying the plane while we’re still building it.” As soon as they saw the need in the community, they ran to fill it - launching their business only a week after coming up with the idea! 

 

We loved what they were doing for the community, so we actually approached them offering our services free of charge to help build out their brand and marketing, spreading the word to more of the community.

- THE PRODUCTION -​

​

We followed Gen and Josh through a “day in the life” of their business, filming as they picked up, packaged, and sent out their boxes for delivery, all while making sure to maintain zero-contact and at least six feet of social distancing.

​

Things got emotional as we interviewed the vendors of the week, hearing their fears about having to close their doors or let go of team members. The gratitude they expressed for the difference Guelph Box made, especially in the earliest stages of the pandemic, perfectly sent the message the video needed to tell to get more of the community on board!
